Stay And Play Wireless Dog Fence PIF00-12917

The new PetSafe Stay + Play wireless dog fence is as convenient as it is effective. You simply plug in the unit and a safe and secure fence is created! The wireless perimeter transmitted by the central unit creates a circular boundary around your yard that can be easily adjusted up to 3/4 of an acre (210 feet across). You can easily increase the size of the containment area with the purchase of additional transmitters by overlapping the boundaries. Once you have your wireless boundary in place, the next step is to place the receiver collar included with the system around your dog's neck. As your dog roams freely within your yard, the collar will pick up the signal transmitted by the central unit. Each time your dog nears the wireless perimeter, a warning tone will be emitted by the collar. If your dog continues toward the off-limit boundaries, your dog will receive a quick but safe static correction. The wireless receiver collar included with the Stay + Play system is designed for dogs weighing over 5 pounds with neck sizes of 6 to 23 inches. It features 6 levels of correction, so you can easily adjust the correction level to your dog's temperament. You can also set the collar to "tone only" for training or if you feel that's all your dog needs as a deterrent. The collar is equipped with a rechargeable battery and a convenient 2-hour recharging unit. Visit Us For More Information www.snrpetsupplies.com

Cost Of Dog Fences

!±8± Cost Of Dog Fences

Dog fences prevent pets from running out of the garden onto the road thereby risking chances of meeting with an accident. Dog fences are made of different materials and come in different shapes and sizes. Underground dog fence and electric dog fence are a few common types of fences. Dog fences are also classified based on the purpose for which it is installed, for instance, training fences.

The cost of dog fences vary based on the material used and the area covered. An underground fence costs around 0 to 00 for an average-sized dog for a perimeter of about 500 to 1000 feet. It is cheaper than the traditional fencing.

It is advisable to check on the Internet for special offers on various dog fence products. Help! My Dog Keeps Jumping the Fence Or Digging Under the Fence

!±8± Help! My Dog Keeps Jumping the Fence Or Digging Under the Fence

Do you have a dog who keeps jumping the fence or digs under no matter what you do? Been there, done that, have the T-shirt as they say. I have spent hours piling things up in front of holes, dragging pieces of wood over to block the fence, and repairing areas of the fence where my dogs have gotten out.

And never mind the time I've wasted rounding up my dogs after they escape. They are true Houdinis sometimes.

If you are having this problem it is crucial to stop your dogs from jumping the fence or digging under the fence because, no matter where you live, there is always the possibility your dog may get hit by a car, lost, or stolen. In my case we have coyotes in the field next to mine so it is even more of a problem.

Well, after I had used up every available piece of wood and brick to block the fence, I decided I had to move on to something that would work a little better. What I found that worked was electric wire along the top and along the bottom if you have dogs that go over and under. The great thing is, you often don't have to leave the wire on anymore after they get shocked one time because most leave it alone after that.

Now, I did have a bit of a problem with the wire on the bottom after a while because of grass and weeds growing around it and sometimes it would short out or stop working altogether. To fix that, I purchased an underground radio fence from Pet Safe and I have no problems anymore. In fact, if you don't want to mess with the electric wire you can just get the underground fence to begin with. I was surprised that it was pretty cheap and worked just as well as my friend's higher-priced fence that cost her about 5 times as much.

Unfortunately it's tough to train a dog to stay in the fence because there are so many outside factors that influence their desire to leave the yard, namely squirrels, other dogs, etc. But either an electric fence or an underground radio fence should solve your problems and keep your wandering dogs inside.
